If you would like to write your Bachelor's or Master's thesis at the Department of Human Resource Management, please contact potential supervisors in good time.

After establishing contact with a supervisor, please register on time via UNIGRAZonline for the bachelor’s course Management.

In the bachelor’s course, participants present both their exposé and the (provisional) final version of their bachelor’s thesis, and they discuss the writing process with their fellow students. By the beginning of the course, your thesis topic should already be broadly defined. You are welcome to propose your own topic, although we recommend aligning it with our research areas. Practice-based collaborations are also encouraged. We place particular importance on the theoretical foundation of bachelor’s theses.

Please note: For students enrolled under the 2017 curriculum, the bachelor’s course is not compulsory. However, we recommend taking it as an elective.

If you would like to write your Master's thesis at the Department of Human Resource Management in summer term 2026, please submit your synopsis to the Institute's secretariat in January 2026 (the exact date follows), (file by e-mail to sabine.list(at)uni-graz.at).

The synopsis should be five pages long. Please explain the initial problem and the aim of your work as well as your planned approach. The research question and the method must be presented in such a way that it is clear what exactly you want to do and that you have already dealt with scientific literature on your topic. Therefore, please also include relevant literature. In addition to the five pages of text, the synopsis should include a work plan and timetable as well as a bibliography. Do not forget to include a working title, your name and your e-mail address on the cover sheet.
